APPLE DESSERT CAKE

This cake can be served as a dessert or as a treat with coffee. Delicious served with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.


Ingredients:

125g (4.5oz) butter, melted

2 apples, peeled, cored and diced

1 cup self-raising flour

1 cup sugar

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp cinnamon (optional)


Method:

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a 20cm (8inch) round cake tin.

  • Place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix to combine.

  • Pour into the prepared tin.

  • Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden.

  • Serve warm or cold, and if you like, dust with icing sugar.


Serves: 6

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time: 40-45 minutes
