If you’ve never cooked rice this way, then I suggest you give it a go. This is the only way I cook it now. It’s fail-proof and comes out so light and fluffy. Make sure to use quality premium rice – it makes all the difference.
Ingredients: 1 cup basmati rice 2 cups hot water 1 tbsp butter or margarine
1⁄2 tsp salt
Method: • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). • Place all the ingredients in an ovenproof dish and cover with a lid or tin foil.
• Bake for 35–45 minutes or until light and fluffy.
Serves: 4 Prep Time: 2 minutes
Cooking Time: 35–45 minutes
