Dump, mix and leave! If that sounds like your kind of family meal, then you’re going

to love this slow cooker recipe. Serve with rice or use as the basis for nachos.


500g (1lb) beef mince

1 onion, finely chopped

1 x 400g (14oz) tin chopped tomatoes

1 x 400g (14oz) tin kidney beans, rinsed and drained

1 x 40g (.5oz) sachet Mexican seasoning

2 tsp crushed garlic

1 tsp beef stock powder

salt and pepper to taste


• Place all the ingredients in the slow cooker and stir to combine.

• Cook on high for 3 hours or on low for 6–8 hours.

• Season with salt and pepper before serving.

Serves: 4

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cooking Time: 3 or 6–8 hours
