MAPLE AND CINNAMON POPCORN

Popcorn is a great snack as it is a high-fibre whole grain. It also contains phenolic acids, a type of antioxidant. Because it is puffed with air, popcorn is a very low-calorie snack option.

Ingredients:
I tbsp coconut oil
4 tbsp popping corn
1 tbsp pure maple syrup
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Method:
Add the coconut oil in a medium saucepan at a medium-high heat.
Once melted, stir in the popping corn and cover with a lid.
Wait for the popping to start. Turn off the heat when the popcorn is about half popped and wait for the popping to stop before removing the lid.
While popcorn is arm, carefully toss in the maple syrup and cinnamon.
